Product review and giveaway : Princess Arabia Fashion
20 Feb
Princess Arabia Fashion is a Muslim clothing company based in Singapore . They mostly make hijabs but have also recently started their own line of dresses as well. Recently they sent me three hijabs to review.
The first hijab, a maroon crepe hijab with elegant point work done on the edges is a very elegant hijab perfect for evening outings , weddings etc. The fabric is light and drapes well when worn and the hijab is somewhat shorter than a standard sized shawl but it is quite broad with an oval shaped edge hence making it easy to drap the hijab on the chest and back in a circular shape.
The pointwork at the end of the hijab tends to get caught in the fabric at time therefore try to pin it at the shoulders to keep in place reducing the risk of the fabric being scratched.
The second hijab, a black and blue floral number is made of a very light chiffon like material. It is very airy and comfortable when draped but tends to look a bit puffy. For hijabis who want the voluminous effect , this is a great material to do just that without feeling uncomfortable and warm.
The third hijab is a mustard coloured jersey hijab with a plaid cotton border and a pretty appliqué flower at the bottom. The jersey fabric is excellent for draping the hijab and cotton border emphasises the hood of the hijab when pinned under the chin. The hijab also has a few lace tassels at the two ends.
This hijab provides ample coverage to the chest area and looks smart and unique with its unique selection of fabrics. I love the appliqué detail at the bottom, girlish and funky at the same time
Giveaway : I will be giving away the mustard coloured hijab to one of you lucky readers, all you have to do is send me a mail to hijabiii.com@gmail.com with your full name and country. I will be choosing a winner on the 27th of February 2012 so make sure you get in your entries before then!
